what i wore.

just a little outfit-of-the-day post. it's a picnic in the park kinda day, you know?

*notice the hodge podge painted walls.....ha I'm hoping to take care of that this weekend.

barefoot.

In most of my posts, you might notice I'm barefoot. It's defiantly not that I have something against shoes, God forbid anyone have something against shoes!!, but just that I don't usually take outfit photos when I'm ready to leave. Because by then I'm ready to leave, I don't want to interrupt the process of leaving, by stopping to take photos of my outfit.... So I take them once I'm dressed, but not fully dolled up. I'm hoping to drop this little habit though, because if your gonna visit my blog every day of your life every so often, you deserve the real damn deal! So, I just thought I'd let you know, I'm working on it.

And in complete contrast to what I just blogged about, here is a little something I conjured up, an outfit with no shoes.

Comfy.

Yesterday I was working for my dad at his office because the secretary is on vacation. It was almost painfully boring and the air conditioner was on so high that I caved and turned on the little space heater under the desk. ha. Before I left for work I snapped these quick photos and I don't know why, but I'm sort of loving the cute and comfy looks lately. Maybe it's summer coming to it's close for me but the practicality and simplicity of a light dress or flowy top and jean shorts is all I want to wear these days.

moth grey.

I'm only just now realizing that the color of my room is overwhelmingly bright.  Now that I'm repainting it that is! I wanted a color that didn't overpower everything else, I like nick knacks to be lying around and so the "serene" color (as it says of the color collection from which i found this  particular color) is just what I was looking for.  It matches my comforter just wonderfully and I'm hoping I like it as much in a month as I do now. ha.

hey guys! quick post so that you know I'm still breathing. ive been on vacation with the family...without internet access. But I'm back!...and empty handed in the outfit post area. ha oops? But I have found some lovely inspiration on lookbooks.com. Hope you enjoy :)

just for fun this afternoon, i decided to try this skirt 3 ways, I knew I wanted to wear it, but what with it I hadn't figured out. So I put on a mini-by myself-"one look 3 ways"-show, and found it to be quite entertaining. So what if it was entirely counter-productive seeing as my plans were dismantled anyhow? I'll do what I want with my free time :) (Even if that's playing dress up alonee.)

wet hair and a sundress, i wore this yesterday around the house. It's so easy and white makes me feel beachy even if I'm just at home, the belt made it feel casual. My weekend road trip is canceled so I'm kinda bummed, maybe I'll go get an ice cream and watch the waterski show tonight? (sigh) oh well, happy wednesday!

bloom and grow.

Floral dress and air dried hair. I'm having a good day today, I don't know about you but I have high hopes for the weekend. It'll be a good one. I don't want to spoil anything but my previously ruined relationship may have instead grown and fingers crossed that it will stay this good and grow even better with time. :) I can't say I'm anything short of ecstatic about this, so I'm gonna make some fresh guacamole and wear a dress all weekend.  Happy Friday/ Long Weekend!
